How a Painting Is Built
Decision, then surface
Each piece starts on a blank screen and a decision about light. Forms get blocked in, balanced, moved, rebalanced; colour goes down in layers until the composition holds together on its own terms. This stage is slow and entirely artist-directed, worked on screen — every edge, every value, every relationship between a warm and a cool is chosen rather than produced.
The last stage is what gives the surface its character. Working from instructions written for a composition that is already finished, an AI pass builds the physical qualities of thick colour: a ridge standing up and catching the light along one edge, a dragged mark thinning as it runs dry, the faint grain of a woven support showing through where the colour is thin. The target is fidelity to how heavy colour behaves, not to any particular material.
What that tool does not do is decide. Subject, composition, palette and intent are all settled before it is ever involved.

Choosing what happens at the sides
A stretched print has four visible sides, and you decide what goes on them. When part of the picture matters right up to the border, choose the mirrored or plain finish so nothing is wrapped out of view.

- The border is flipped onto the sides, so nothing at the front is lost.

Is AI used to make the artwork?
Only at the final step, and only as a finishing tool directed by written instructions from the artist, to produce the impasto-style surface texture. Everything that determines what the painting is — subject, composition, colour — happens before that, through digital painting. The full sequence is described above.
What print formats and sizes are available?

Do you ship internationally?
Partly — canvas and paper roll ship worldwide, while acrylic, metal, wood and framed prints are limited to the continental United States and Canada. Within that zone shipping is free with no extra fees; elsewhere, delivery times and costs depend on destination and size, and are shown at checkout.
Can I license an image for commercial use?
